Skyrider stopped carrying passengers in 2002, but its gondolas stayed at Wonderland until after the park closed. The first photo below is the last known picture of them in the park before they were removed.
Alan Woodall, who ran Durkin Amusements, ended up with 24 of the 30 gondolas. They sat in his yard at Queanbeyan for years before he began selling them off, and eventually all 24 found new owners. What became of the other six is not known.
Several of the gondolas now live in backyards and at businesses around New South Wales, and a few owners have restored theirs. The photos show the Queanbeyan yard and some of the gondolas since they were sold. If you own one, or know where one ended up, we would love to add it here: get in touch through the Facebook group.
