Wizards Fury was a “Bayern Kurve” ride, riders sat in one of the sixteen bobsled-themed cars that traveled at a high-speed around a circular single-hilled track that went through the “Wizards House” and back again, about 20 times per cycle. Riders start in an upright position and as the cars pick up speed, they tilt inward toward the center of the ride. This ride is also known for its distinct whine that increases with speed due to its tire/blade drive.
It was very VERY noisy, and quite old, it was designed in the late 60’s and installed into Kings Island in 1973, removed in 1985 and sold to Wonderland.
In 2002 the Train and track where demolished because of rust in the train, The Wizards House was not demolished, the ride pad was later used for Galleon’s Graveyard.

When was Wizard’s Fury removed and why? What happened to it after it was removed?

Wizard’s Fury was said to have come from a park by the ocean in England – possibly Blackpool. It opened along with the park in 1985 and towards the end of its life it was becoming difficult to maintain. The amount of rust the car bodies had was unbelievable I found it hard to believe they were staying together. In 2002 the ride was demolished with all the cars and track going to scrap metal and the station demolished as well. The only thing that stayed was the "house" which the train passed through, both ends boarded up and a door created to store spares and the plant equipment for Galleons Graveyard. Before HB land closed Captain Cavemans Clippers was taken down, refurbished and the Wizards site was modified to suit CCC (more concrete added to the perimeter to enable the tower of CCC/Galleons Graveyard to sit far enough away from the "house" to allow for the swing radius of the flying boats). It reopened in 2002 as Galleons Graveyard.
