Medieval Faire was one of the three original themed areas at Australia’s Wonderland – a make-believe world of knights, dragons and damsels, the world of Sir Lancelot, King Arthur and Merlin the Magician. It hosted Wizard’s Fury, Bounty’s Revenge, Dragon’s Flight, Tooheys Tall Ship (the Buccaneer), The Sea Demon, the Jousting Ring dodgems, Sinbad the Sailor and the Coca-Cola International Showplace stage.
The construction photos below span 16 April 1985 through 28 October 1985 – roughly the eight months before Wonderland opened to the public on 7 December 1985 – and document Tooheys Tall Ship, Bounty’s Revenge, Wizard’s Fury and the surrounding Medieval theming being built.
