Australia’s Wonderland featured a games arcade as part of its entertainment offering, alongside its major rides, live shows and other attractions.
The arcade was located in Goldrush, near the former Ned Kelly’s Getaway water slide and the Sawmill Theatre. Ned Kelly’s Getaway was removed in 1991, but its former slide channels remained visible behind the amusement arcade for a number of years, with the channels eventually filled with sand.
Although the games arcade formed part of Wonderland’s entertainment offerings, relatively little information about its operation has survived. Its precise opening date, the arcade machines available over the years and the eventual fate of the equipment remain to be established.
