The operator’s control panel photographed on the last day, 26 April 2004, was not the original. The first panel had very little on it. The main controls started and stopped the turntable in the station, and the panel had emergency stops.
Boat spacing was handled by the PLC and the variable speed drive on the conveyors. The operators could speed the turntable up when gaps opened between boats, or slow it down when boats ran too close together. The water geysers had two modes programmed into the PLC when they were set up: wet mode for summer and dry mode for winter. The morning checks made before the ride was handed to the operators are on the Maintenance page.
