The Australian Wildlife Park closed with the rest of Wonderland Sydney on 26 April 2004. The animals were moved to other parks or sold.
The photos below were taken after the closure. In June 2005 the enclosures and paths were already overgrown. By August 2007 signs from the wildlife park, including the Common Wombat information panel, had ended up in the bone yard.
