Bush Beast Trains for Sale

The Bush Beast and Beastie trains outlived the rides. In August 2004, after the park had closed, all fourteen Bush Beast and ten Beastie carriages were moved out to the maintenance area, and in September 2004 they went out to the stables in the back paddock behind Minchinbury reservoir, where they stayed. The Bush Beast itself was demolished on 27 August 2005; the trains stayed out the back. In January 2006 they were sold and moved to an unknown location.

On 27 January 2006 an advertisement appeared on usedrides.com:

PTC Doubles in good condition and well maintained.

17 Large cars (4 seaters).

$3,000 each or best offer.

This was the picture attached to the ad.

I find it funny that the ad said “Just removed from functioning coaster” when, in 2006, the trains had been sitting out in the back paddock, out in the open, for over a year.

The trains turned up again in January 2011 at O’Neill’s Adventureland, a small amusement park at Edmondson Park, where Wonderland History found them. On 24 January 2013 Wonderland History bought all four trains for $6,000, and in March 2018 they went to their permanent home at Artisans Park in Bathurst. The full story, with photos, is on the After closure page, and photos of the trains at O’Neill’s Adventureland in June 2012 are on the Bush Beast and Beastie trains 2012 page.
