The Demon ran on electricity, compressed air and hydraulics. Vekoma’s specification gives it a 190 kVA supply at 400 volts AC and an air consumption of 525 litres a minute.
The first lift used a cable-driven catch car and the second a hydraulically driven chain. The whole ride cycle was run by a programmable logic controller (PLC).
